Christie's Wedding - Blushes

As I posted before, I get to be a bridesmaid in my sweet friend Christie's wedding!  We had a nice chat the other day over the phone about some of her wedding ideas and she had chosen blushes, champagnes and off-whites as her colors. I could not be more excited!

I take a lot of my inspiration from www.pinterest.com, and these colors seem to be such a huge trend right now.  Trends are usually something to stay away from in my opinion, but these colors are so incredibly classic, chic and sophisticated.

The amazing thing about these colors is that nothing has to match - They all coordinate!  As the bride, Christie could just tell us all to go out and get a 'blush' colored dress, and we would all end up looking coordinated standing next to each other.

Hot Mess

I just went to Target (my vice) to get a new food processor (I killed the old one yesterday) to finish making home made peanut butter (I'm pretending it's part of my 10 day cleanse diet) and I must have had the most dazed and confused look on my face. Five different employees within two minutes all asked if I needed help finding something... 

I also left the house looking like a hot mess, so that could have been it :)

Lindsey's Wedding - In Progress

My boyfriend Jered's sister Lindsey has begun planning her dream wedding!  I am so honored to say that I am going to be a bridesmaid!!  And it's in MEXICO!!
When we were in Chicago last weekend, we were able to go to Lindsey and Bill's place to check out her wedding planning binder - boy was there already a LOT of stuff in there!

Obviously my boyfriend Jered on the right had NO idea what we were talking about!! 

Since I am the only bridesmaid in not in Chicago, I have to miss out on bridesmaids dress shopping... However, they are going shopping at a boutique that has a location here in Austin so I'll have the opportunity to try on all of the same styles!
I can't wait!!

Chicago Wedding

We were in Chicago this past weekend for a friend's wedding and to visit my boyfriend's family.  The weather was gorgeous.  We stayed with some friends for the weekend and just had a blast!
This wedding was so beautiful!  The ceremony was in an enormous Catholic church and the reception was at a beautiful country club.
Of course I was obsessed with what everyone was wearing - especially the bridesmaids!
They were FLAWLESS!  Pictured with the bride, this is just perfect!!

I started Miss Matched about a year after the couple was engaged, but even if I was given the privilege to style my beautiful friend Lisa's wedding party, I would not have done anything differently!

This is her style, her palate, and her vision done in such an exquisite way.

Soon??

So last night my man and I both had dreams about getting engaged...EEEeeeeee!! Weird, right? Does that mean it's happening soon? I wish I could just get inside his brain and know what he's thinking. My best friend and I always promised each other that when we knew the other one was going to get engaged soon, we'd make sure her nails were done. Well I told Jered that and now he's not going to tell her! Boo! Meanwhile, I just painted my nails... What are your stories? Did you know it was coming, or we're you totally surprised?

Old Friends

I've known Jessica since I was just a little thing.  Our mom's have been friends since they were just little things.  It's rare that we see each other, but we hear about each other's accomplishments through our moms.
So it was such a surprise to hear that we are both working in the wedding industry!!
